Pot noodle weekend

Ha! I forgot the supermarket was closed. I had pot noodles for 3 days. Supermarket trip today. I wonder if they are gonna have cheaper mochi now that the New Years celebrations are over.

I mean, sometimes I buy mochi on a whim. But usually I plan my whims to make sure I don't waste too much money. Or let good mochi go bad.

If I plan how much mochi I can eat in a sitting but don't plan exactly when I buy it, is it still a whim?

Well, then it's not planning, but knowing. You know how much you can eat so you buy on a whim knowing it.
