My school has an amazing volleyball team, and our setter and spiker were the perfect match, but... for what my knowledge of captain is worth, you have to depend on one another if you play together. That's how things work in the end. Sanada-san said he's called the Emperor, so I'm sure that if he agreed to play with you is because you are there with him too.
